Newsletter October 2009
Until the end of the year the bcc is investing considerably in state of the art and partially permanently installed event technology. The advantage for event organisers is drastically improved quality for less money.
In all rooms: Full HD and 16:9
From January 2010 all event rooms will be equipped with state of the art media technology by default. As one of the first congress centres in Germany the bcc is consistently using the sustainable 16:9 format in Full HD resolution with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels for projectors, LED screens, and event notebooks. Picture in picture solutions enable the display of the conventionally used 4:3 format as well as the abandonment of double projections for the camera image and presentation charts. The bcc-technology is ideally adapted to the listed building and its installation locations.
Standards for minimal effort and cost reliability
A higher rate of fixed installations and standardisation minimises the effort (e.g. elimination of costs for transport, installation and uninstallation; general reduction of setup and dismantling times as well as the planning and examination effort). Thereby the organiser’s expenses are reducing whilst quality and process reliability are increasing.
What’s more, staff costs are cut. Due to the use of network based controlling devices in smaller rooms we can reduce the number of on-site engineers during the event. In the main hall several remote-controlled HD cameras can be operated by just one cameraman…
The new technology is offered for fixed prices varying with the size of the room. Upgrades for specific services are optional and can simply be booked in addition. On request the bcc will offer flat rates for all standard cases regarding congresses, meetings and seminars. The packages contain the utilisation of the complete equipment of the bcc and offer a high degree of cost reliability for the event organiser. For extraordinary technical requirements in shows and galas specialised partners will remain available.
